💔 URGENT: NEW BEGINNINGS HAS REACHED BREAKING POINT 💔
Dear Supporters,
This is one of the hardest posts we have ever had to write.
After 12 years of fighting for animals, answering emergencies, rescuing the abandoned, feeding the hungry, paying vet bills, and doing everything within our power to keep going, we have reached a place we have never reached before.
Our bank account is empty.
We are unable to pay salaries.
We are unable to pay vet bills.
We are unable to buy food.
We are unable to buy medication.
We are unable to put fuel in our vehicles to respond to emergencies.
We have reached the end of what we, as human beings, can do.
Over the years, we have launched auctions, hosted competitions, organized events, run fundraising campaigns, and pursued every avenue we could think of to keep New Beginnings alive. We were even at another fundraising event yesterday, have a market in friday AND doing a golf day over the weekend and still trying to find a way forward.
But today, we have to be honest.
We cannot continue operating as normal.
Effective immediately, New Beginnings is forced to suspend our operations until we can find a way out of this crisis.
This means that we cannot respond to emergencies.
We cannot assist with township call-outs.
We cannot take in new animals.
We cannot continue providing the level of care our animals deserve without immediate intervention.
Every day we receive heartbreaking calls and photographs of animals suffering, neglected, injured, and dying. Every day people ask us for help.
And for the first time in 12 years, we are in a position where we simply cannot help.
The heartbreak of that reality is impossible to describe.
We are also urgently asking the public to consider adopting. Every adoption helps reduce the burden on the shelter and gives an animal the loving home it deserves.
Today, we are not posting another fundraiser.
Today, we are asking for a miracle.
If you are able to donate, sponsor an animal, provide food, assist with vet bills, offer corporate sponsorship, connect us with businesses, organize a fundraiser, or help in any way whatsoever, please do so now.
This is the moment that will determine whether New Beginnings survives.
We do not like asking for help. We do not like begging.
But today we are begging.
We are begging for the animals.
We are begging for the shelter.
We are begging for the work that has been built over the last 12 years.
Without urgent intervention, we will be forced to make drastic decisions that none of us want to make.
