Trauma doesn't disappear just because it isn't spoken about. 🌳
Think of it like a tree. What you see the anxiety, the panic attacks, the insomnia, the dissociation those are just the leaves. They're how trauma shows up in daily life.
But leaves grow back. You can manage the symptom, cope with it, even suppress it for a while and it will keep returning until you go to the root.
The roots are the real story: the loss, the abuse, the neglect, the accident, the assault, the war, the childhood no one protected you through.
And what feeds the tree matters too stigma, silence, being misdiagnosed, being told to "just get over it." Every one of those waters the wrong part of the tree.
Healing isn't about trimming leaves. It's about tending the roots safely, and with the right support.
