The Intragastric Balloon is a non-surgical, minimally invasive weight-loss procedure - and one of the most accessible options we offer!

Here’s how it’s inserted:

1️⃣ You’ll be lightly sedated for the procedure (no general anaesthetic needed)
2️⃣ A soft, deflated silicone balloon is passed through your mouth and into your stomach via an endoscope
3️⃣ Once in place, it’s filled with saline solution until it’s roughly the size of a grapefruit
4️⃣ The whole procedure takes around 20 to 30 minutes, and most patients go home the same day

The balloon sits in your stomach for approximately 12 months.
