Think of 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻 as a key.

Its job is to unlock your body's cells so that 𝗴𝗹𝘂𝗰𝗼𝘀𝗲 (𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿) can move from your bloodstream into your cells, where it's used for energy.
