✨ TEAM BUILDING SESSION 🎨🖼️
We're excited to share some moments from this morning's Team Building session!

💡 Why painting?
We painted photo frames as a creative way to reflect, connect, and look ahead. Each frame represented what motivates us in our personal lives while giving us the opportunity to express ourselves, strengthen our teamwork, and simply enjoy the moment together.

Most importantly, it was FUN! 🥳

A huge shoutout to our Social Committee for planning and hosting such a memorable and inspiring morning. Your effort and creativity made it a great success! 🙌🌟

🧸 Mandela Day Magic: Spreading Smiles in Pretoria! 🧸
Our PTA Social Work Group spent Mandela Day bringing joy, comfort, and cuddles to some incredibly brave little fighters.

This year, our team hosted a special Teddy Bear Drive at both the Groenkloof and Unitas paediatric wards. Thanks to your incredible donations and a generous private sponsor who provided brand-new teddies, we achieved something beautiful: every single child in both hospitals received their very own teddy bear!

The highlights of our day:
Ward Walks: Hospital staff allowed our team to walk directly through the wards with arms fully of teddy bears.
The Power of Choice: Each child got to personally pick out their perfect teddy bear companion.
Pure Joy: Seeing their faces light up made every bit of effort worth it.
A massive thank you to everyone who donated, and to our private sponsor for making sure no child was left out. You didn't just give a toy; you gave comfort when it was needed most. 🤍

Honouring Madiba’s Legacy at Sister Lea Facility 🕊️✨
Action speaks louder than words!
This Mandela Day, our dedicated West Rand team of social workers spent their 67 minutes spreading love, joy, and support to the wonderful residents at the Sister Lea facility.

From sharing warm conversations and hearty meals to facilitating uplifting group activities, every moment was a reminder of the power of community and ubuntu. Our social workers brought their passion out of the office and straight into the hearts of those who need it most, proving that small acts of kindness can create waves of change.

Thank you to the staff and residents at Sister Lea for welcoming us with open arms, and to our incredible social work team for living the legacy of Nelson Mandela every single day.

🌍✨ MAKING A DIFFERENCE: MANDELA DAY 2026 ✨🌍

"What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others." — Nelson Mandela. 🇿🇦

This Mandela Day, the dedicated JHB North Social Workers team at Gerald Joseph Hospital stepped out of the wards and into the heart of our community to honour Madiba’s legacy! 🏥❤️
They spent their spreading hope, dignity, and care to those who need it most.
As social workers, our mission extends beyond the hospital doors every single day, but today was an extra special reminder of the power of Ubuntu. 🤝✨
From providing essential support packages to sharing warm smiles and life-changing interactions, we are proud to play our part in building a stronger, more compassionate Johannesburg.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Mandela Day project, and to our incredible staff who live Madiba's values of service and equality daily! 🌟

Celebrating Nelson Mandela Day by giving back to our community! 🌍✨
Our East Rands social work team spent an incredible day at Kids Haven, honoring Tata Mandela’s legacy through action, love, and support.

Social work is about more than just a profession—it is a lifelong commitment to uplifting vulnerable children, restoring dignity, and creating safe spaces for them to thrive. Spending time with the resilient children and dedicated staff at Kids Haven reminded us exactly why we chose this path.
From interactive activities to sharing smiles and resources, every minute spent was a step toward building the brighter future Mandela envisioned for our youth.

Thank you to Kids Haven for the vital work you do every day, and for welcoming us into your space. Let’s keep the spirit of Ubuntu alive today and every day! 🤝❤️

On Mandela Day, everyone has the power to change the world for the better. This year, our team of Netcare Rehab Social Workers did exactly that by spending our 67 minutes giving back to the incredible staff and residents at the FWC Hospice.

As social workers, we see the daily struggles within our communities. Hospice care requires immense emotional strength, and we wanted to shower both the dedicated caregivers and the brave patients with love, support, and practical help.
