“Have you tried not being greedy?”

After decades of research, the answer is ‘don’t be greedy.’ 😒

If obesity were simply about greed, we wouldn’t see differences in genetics, appetite regulation, hormones, metabolism, medication responses, and long-term weight regain. The reality is a lot more complex than a character flaw.

There is still so much misinformation surrounding obesity.

Obesity is a complex, chronic metabolic disease—not a failure of willpower.

Yet many people continue to carry unnecessary shame and guilt, believing that if they were only more disciplined, ate less, or exercised harder, things would be different.

The reality is far more complex. Genetics, hormones, brain pathways, environment, and metabolism all play a role.

It’s time to replace judgment with understanding and stigma with science.

Don’t do it. Your health is far more valuable.

Forget a kid in a candy store… I’m a girl in a bookstore, and my books have finally arrived.

Books on some of my favourite topics, by my favourite experts.

Which one should I start with?

Misophonia is basically your nervous system saying:
“this sound? absolutely not.” 😭

And yes — it can happen during perimenopause, autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other conditions linked to sensory sensitivity.

The weirdest part?
You can blast your favourite song at full volume… 🎶
…but someone chewing, sniffing, pen clicking, or breathing too loudly can make you want to leave civilization entirely. 🫠

It’s called selective sound sensitivity.
Your brain isn’t reacting to ALL noise equally — certain sounds can trigger irritation, overwhelm, anxiety, or even physical discomfort.

So if you’ve suddenly become emotionally attacked by mouth noises during perimenopause… you’re not imagining it. 😭

For so many women, this season arrives quietly.
Not with a clear label — but with moments of self-doubt.

Forgetting things you never used to.
Struggling to concentrate.
Not feeling as sharp as you once did.

And wondering… is it just me?

It’s not.

Perimenopause is a neurological transition — one that can significantly impact memory, focus, and cognitive performance.

Yet it remains largely unspoken.

Many women continue to show up, lead, and perform — while silently navigating these changes, often afraid of being misunderstood or perceived differently.

This needs to change.

We don’t just need awareness.
We need supportive, informed spaces that recognise and respond to this reality.

Because when women are supported, they don’t just cope — they continue to lead, innovate, and thrive.

This is me Living Lighter

It was never just about weight loss.
It’s about feeling at home in my body again.
It’s about confidence that shows up before I even say a word.
It’s about moving without pain, growing stronger, and living without fear.
It’s about rediscovering my voice… and finally using it.
I was always worthy.
I was always becoming.
And now?
I’m continuing the story—lighter, freer, and fully me.

Menopause affects everyone.
Yes — even men.

Menopause is not a moment.
It’s a transition.

Many women enter perimenopause in their mid-30s to 40s, often at the height of their careers and family responsibilities.

And yet, the conversation is still missing.

When cognition shifts, when mood changes, when focus declines —
this is not a loss of competence.

It is biology.

Women are not “losing it.”
They are navigating a significant physiological transition — often without support.

We cannot continue to expect the same output,
with none of the understanding.

It’s time to change how we show up —
for our colleagues, our partners, and ourselves.

Because when women are supported, they don’t just cope.
They thrive.
