This National Women's Month, we celebrate the strength of every woman who continues to move, care, and live life fully, at every age.

Getting older doesn't mean giving up independence. At Prenesha Govender Physiotherapy Inc, our geriatric physiotherapy programmes are designed to help older patients stay pain-free, mobile, and confidently able to manage everyday activities on their own terms.

Our approach may include:

✔ Dry needling

✔ Electrotherapy & ultrasound

✔ Myofascial release

✔ Spinal & joint mobilisation

✔ Gait re-education & rehabilitation

✔ Tailored exercise & home programmes

✔ Postural control training

✔ Strapping, joint mobilising & immobilising

✔ Chest physiotherapy techniques

Every treatment plan is built around one goal: helping you stay strong, safe, and independent in the life you love.

Today, Little Forest School and CARE came together for our annual Interschool Sports Day, and what an incredibly fun day it was!

Our learners gave it their all, cheering each other on, celebrating every achievement, and showing amazing sportsmanship throughout the day.

We can’t wait for the next one! 🏆

In celebration of Mandela Day, we had the privilege of spending time with the wonderful children at Little Forest, where together we prepared sandwiches to give back to our community.

Beyond being an act of kindness, the activity encouraged participation, teamwork, communication, following instructions, and fine motor skills—all while having fun and creating meaningful memories together.

It was heartwarming to see the children's enthusiasm, pride, and willingness to help others. They reminded us that kindness has no age limit and that even the smallest hands can make a big difference.

A heartfelt thank you to Little Forest for allowing us to share in this special initiative. May we continue to choose kindness, compassion, and community—not just on Mandela Day, but every day.

💛 Every small act of kindness counts.

We were honoured to be part of a recent Special Needs Expo, where we had the opportunity to meet many wonderful children, families, educators, and healthcare professionals.

It was a privilege to share information about how physiotherapy can support children with developmental delays, neurological conditions, and other special needs. Thank you to everyone who visited our stand, asked questions, and shared your stories. We look forward to continuing to support our community and helping children reach their fullest potential.

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) dysfunction affects the joint that connects your jaw to your skull

💡 What can you do?
Early assessment and treatment can help reduce pain, improve movement and prevent symptoms from worsening.

🤝 How can Physio help?
A physiotherapist can assess the root cause of your symptoms and provide hands-on treatment, exercises and pain management strategies to restore normal jaw function.

Jaw pain isn't something you should just live with.

If you're experiencing clicking, locking, headaches or discomfort when eating, physiotherapy may help get you back to pain-free movement.
