Did you know there is diversity within hearing loss? Some people are born with hearing loss, while others experience hearing loss during their lifetime, and the choice of communication method depends largely on the stage of life when the hearing loss occurs. Those who lose their hearing during their lifetime typically use assistive devices, supported by other means of communication, like lip-reading, assistive living devices, note-taking, whisper interpreting, and others.
None of these methods are a one-size-fits-all solution, nor should everybody be forced to use only one solution. Your hearing; your choice!
