An update from our social work intern, Carrie! This is what July has brought at Learn, Move, Connect!
What an incredible month it has been! 💙 Throughout July, we were privileged to welcome some new passionate, talented, and caring volunteers who each brought their own unique skills, creativity, and enthusiasm to our programme.
🌿 Ariella led a sensory stimulation workshop where residents explored their favourite scents through mystery boxes, celebrated their discoveries together, and learnt practical hygiene tips in a fun and engaging way.
🩷 Anna facilitated an important life skills session on personal boundaries, teaching the concepts of personal bubbles, as well as safe and unsafe touch, in an accessible and empowering
Each workshop was intentionally designed to promote cognitive learning, life skills development, sensory stimulation, physical movement, social connection, confidence, and, above all, enjoyment.
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers for investing your time, kindness, and talents into our residents. Your impact extends far beyond each workshop, and we are so grateful for the difference you have made.
It is truly an honour to implement the Learn, Move, Connect programme and to witness our residents learning, growing, connecting, and having fun together .
This is what July has brought… and we can’t wait to share everything we have in store for August! Stay tuned , there’s so much more learning, moving, connecting, and smiling ahead.
