Round Two of SEAM has begun!

We’re thrilled to have a new group of dedicated professionals joining us as we explore modern, child-centred approaches to socio-emotional assessment.

Over the next six sessions, participants will gain practical, evidence-informed tools to confidently assess children’s socio-emotional functioning through a structured, ethical, and child-centred approach.

Welcome to the SEAM family—we can’t wait to see what you’ll achieve over the coming weeks!

Dear Colleagues

We are excited to invite you to attend the SEAM (Social-Emotional Assessment Model) Training, a practical and evidence-based programme designed for professionals working with children and families.

The training provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of children's social-emotional development and equips them with effective assessment and intervention strategies. The SEAM framework is grounded in research-based theoretical models and incorporates key concepts including:

• Developmental milestones and child development
• Neurodevelopment and brain-based understanding of behaviour
• Trauma and its impact on children's functioning
• Attachment theory and relationship-based practice
• Emotional regulation and co-regulation strategies

Participants will learn how to identify social-emotional strengths and challenges, support caregivers, and develop meaningful intervention plans that promote healthy development and resilience in children.

This marks the successful completion of the very first SEAM Model training programme, a moment that is both professionally rewarding and personally meaningful.

What began as an idea driven by a passion for child-centred assessment has now become a reality. Over the course of this training, participants engaged deeply with the model, bringing enthusiasm, insight, and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.

Watching this first group grow in confidence, share their experiences, and embrace the SEAM Model has been incredibly inspiring. Their dedication reminds us that meaningful assessment is not simply about gathering information, it is about understanding the unique story of every child and ensuring that their voice is heard.

A sincere thank you to every participant for your trust, commitment, and willingness to be part of this pioneering journey. You are the first cohort to carry the SEAM Model forward, and for that, you will always hold a special place in its story.

A dream that started on paper has now taken its first steps into practice. This is only the beginning.

Registrations are open for the second round, for more information [email protected].
