NON-SURGICAL management of SCOLIOSIS. EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE!
The SCHROTH method ; Spinal MANIPULATIONS;Russian ELECTRICAL neuro-muscular STIMULATION and Trigger points therapy/DRY NEEDLING.
•The SCHROTH Method is a PHYSIOTHERAPEUTIC treatment addressing the scoliosis as a 3-D deformity. It is the Most Researched and most widely Accepted method of Correctional exercises for Scoliosis and Scheuermann Disease. Major part in the treatment plays the CORRECTIONAL BREATHING. People with Scoliosis and Scheuermann’s hyperkyphosis have altered breathing patterns that promote worsening of the deformities. Learning the correctional breathing turns every breath into a treatment.
•Spinal MANIPULATION: One should be aware that spinal manipulation in isolation may Provoke Scoliosis PROGRESSION in Adolescent and younger patients. Such patients are advised to make use of this form of treatment ONLY if it’s combined with Scoliosis Specific Exercises and/or a brace.
On other hand Adult patients who experience pain respond very well to spinal manipulations.
•Russian Neuro muscular electrical stimulation . We use it to strengthen the deep para spinal muscles following a spinal manipulation. Then the spine is in a better alignment and the muscle get trained to maintain it. At our practice we use electrical Neuro- muscular stimulation for it’s pain relief effect when treating painful scoliosis.
•Trigger Points Therapy: one of the reasons Trigger Points develop is that a muscle is required to work in either shortened or stretched position. Due to the asymmetry patients with scoliosis very often experience pain due to Trigger Points. In our practice we use Dry Needling to treat the Trigger Points. In most cases we combine it with electrical therapy. ; ’s; ; ’sexercises; ; ; ; ; ; ’s
