As parents, we all want to make informed decisions about our children’s health, especially when it comes to vaccinations. The HPV vaccine is an important part of protecting girls against HPV infection and future HPV-related cancers. South Africa’s current programme uses a single-dose schedule for eligible girls, delivered through school-based vaccination programmes.

If you receive a school consent form, take a moment to read through the information and return it so your child can be protected.

And if you’re unsure or have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’re always happy to help you make informed choices about your child’s health. 💚

🧴 Late-winter skin shifts: helping little ones through dry, sensitive skin.

As the weather changes and those dry winter winds pick up, it’s common for toddlers with sensitive skin or eczema to experience more dryness, irritation and flare-ups.

A few simple habits can help protect their skin barrier: keep baths short and lukewarm, moisturise soon after bathing, choose thick fragrance-free creams or ointments, and dress them in soft, breathable fabrics. 🤍

Every little one’s skin is different, so if your child is struggling with persistent eczema or irritation, we’re here to help.

🌙 International Youth Day: Sleep, Growth & Wellbeing in Pre-Teens

The pre-teen years come with so many changes, growth spurts, changing emotions, school demands and growing independence.

Good sleep plays an important role during this stage, supporting healthy growth, concentration and emotional wellbeing. Aim for 9–11 hours of sleep each night, with a consistent bedtime routine and less screen time before bed.

Most importantly, keep the conversation open. Let your child know they can talk to you about the changes they’re experiencing. 💚

Supporting your child through every stage. Book a pre-teen growth or general check-up today.

🤱 Every drop tells a story of love.

As we celebrate National Breastfeeding Week, we honour every mother and every breastfeeding journey.

Breast milk is an incredible source of nourishment, carefully designed to meet your baby's changing needs. It provides the perfect balance of nutrients, antibodies, healthy fats, proteins, vitamins, and other essential components that help support growth, strengthen immunity, and promote healthy development from the very beginning.

But beyond the science, breastfeeding is also about connection. It offers comfort, security, and precious moments of bonding between mother and baby that can last a lifetime.

We also recognise that every family's journey is unique. Whether breastfeeding comes naturally or requires extra support and patience, every step forward deserves encouragement and compassion. You are not alone, and asking for help is always okay.

This week, let's celebrate, support, and uplift every mother as she gives her little one the very best start in life. 💛

Happy National Breastfeeding Week.

🚗 Important Winter Safety Tip: Why bulky jackets and car seats do not mix!

As morning temperatures plummet, it’s completely natural to want to strap your child into their car seat wearing their thick, fluffy winter coat. However, doing this poses a major hidden safety risk.

The thick padding of a bulky winter jacket creates a false sense of security. In a vehicle collision, the force instantly compresses all that fluffy fabric, leaving a dangerous amount of slack in the harness straps. This can allow a child to slip forward or even be ejected from the seat.

The safe way: Take the heavy coat off before buckling them in, tighten the harness snugly against their chest, and then layer their warm coat or a thick blanket over the top of the fastened straps!

🚨 When should you take your child to the Emergency Room? Knowing when to wait for a clinic appointment versus when to seek immediate emergency care is essential for every parent.

Trust your instincts, but always seek immediate emergency medical evaluation if your child shows any of these warning signs:
• Severe breathing difficulty (breathing very fast, grunting, or sucking in chest muscles).
• Extreme lethargy (unresponsive, unusually floppy, or difficult to wake up).
• A seizure that lasts longer than normal or occurs for the first time.
• Ingestion of a toxic substance, medication, or chemical.
• Major trauma, deep cuts, or severe winter burns.

Keep emergency numbers saved on your phone fridge so they are always ready if an unexpected crisis occurs.

We are here to provide trusted, expert clinical guidance. For routine consultations and follow-ups, make your booking for your kid today:
