Don’t delay treatment

Today, I was reminded once again why knowledge matters so deeply in our profession.

In this video, you will see a woman who has just been fitted with bone conduction spectacles. Moments after the fitting, she breaks down in tears — not out of sadness, but because she can finally hear after years of being told that nothing more could be done for her.

Her story is not unique. Many individuals with conductive, mixed, or single-sided deafness are often left without solutions, not because technology does not exist, but because awareness of these innovations is still limited.

As audiologists, we have a responsibility to stay informed, to grow with technology, and to expand our toolkit so that no patient is left without options.

In this era of rapid advancement, we truly have no excuse for not knowing what is available to help those we serve.

This moment reminded me that when knowledge meets compassion, lives change.
And today, Her life changed 🫶🫶🫶

Last night, Qhawekazi Mazaleni, a speech therapist, was crowned Miss South Africa 2025 👑 👑, and my heart is overflowing with pride 🫶🫶

This victory is not only a celebration of her grace and intelligence, but also a beautiful spotlight on our profession 🧑‍⚕️ 👩‍⚕️, one that often remains unseen and underappreciated within our communities.

To see one of our own take up such a national platform reminds us that beauty, purpose, and impact can coexist powerfully 🥳🥳

Congratulations Qhawe 😍😍

We had an incredible time at the ENT SASLHA congress 2025! 🎉

It was such a great pleasure to connect with ENTs and audiologists who stopped by our stand. Their support, encouragement, and interest in our products truly meant a lot to us— this was one of our most successful exhibitions in years! 🙏🏽

The presentations were equally enriching. I learned so much about the vital work ENTs are doing in managing middle ear pathologies, and how we as audiologists can complement that care to better serve individuals with hearing loss. It’s truly inspiring to see how collaboration can move hearing healthcare forward in South Africa🇿🇦

I’m looking forward to continuing the conversations and collaborations as we work together to find solutions for conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, and single-sided deafness.

💙Changing lives through innovation. 💙

At HearTronix, every fitting tells a story of transformation 🫶🫶

In the first image, this gentleman wears a bone conduction hearing aid on a softband — a wonderful start toward better hearing, yet one that often draws attention 😌😌

In the next, he covers it with a beanie— because sometimes, even when hearing improves, confidence still hides 🥹🥹

And then comes the moment we love the most — the final image: 👌👌

👓 A sleek pair of Bone Conduction Spectacles.

❌No bands, no hiding.
✅ Just style, comfort, and crystal-clear sound.
✅The smile and the thumbs-up say it all — dignity restored, pride renewed🙏🏽🙏🏽

We are not just improving hearing; we are changing how people feel about hearing aids.
