MY BODY, MY BOUNDARIES, MY VOICE 🛡️

This Child Protection Week, ACVV Kuruman reminds every child: YOU have the right to be safe.

1. SAY "NO!" AND WALK AWAY
If someone touches you in a way that makes you uncomfortable, use a strong voice and walk away.

2. TELL A TRUSTED ADULT
If something feels wrong, don’t keep it secret. Tell your parent, teacher, social worker, or caregiver. You will be believed.

Children are not “too small” to have boundaries. Let’s teach them early so we can end abuse together.

ACVV Kuruman Social Worker, together with Sgt. Belang from Kuruman SAPS, conducted a gangsterism awareness session at Sediba Academy in Kuruman.

This initiative forms part of Child Protection Week, commemorated from 29 May to 5 June 2026. The session focused on educating learners about the dangers of gangsterism, peer pressure, and making positive life choices to keep our children safe.

ACVV Kuruman also works closely with the boy child to ensure that he is equally empowered, just like the girl child.

We appreciate the support of parents and all our stakeholders who collaborate with us to make programmes like this possible. Together, we are helping to guide, support, and empower our boys to grow into responsible and confident young men. 💙

We want to thank you for the dedication, compassion, and hard work you show every day while serving our community. Your work is not always easy, and we know that you cannot attend to everyone at once. Sometimes frustration leads to disagreements, but please know it comes from difficult circumstances and never from a lack of appreciation.

Your commitment to helping others does not go unnoticed. We see the difference you make in the lives of so many people.
