Every baby's journey into the world is different. Recently, a little one weighing just 1.27 kg arrived earlier than expected after Mom developed severe pre-eclampsia. The pregnancy had been complicated by significant growth restriction, and every decision had to be carefully considered. Mom was admitted for two days before delivery, allowing time to prepare the baby for an early arrival and give this little fighter the very best start possible.

Today, we're celebrating wonderful news. Just two days after birth, baby was already breathing without oxygen support, and Mom was discharged home in good health.

Medicine is about science, but moments like these remind us that it's also about hope, teamwork, careful planning and the incredible resilience of both mother and baby.

Every healthy journey home is worth celebrating.

One of the greatest strengths women have is their ability to care for one another. Sometimes that means offering advice. Sometimes it's simply checking in with a friend or making time to listen without judgement. We often underestimate how powerful it is to know that someone is willing to hear our concerns and understand what we're going through. The same is true when it comes to our health. Many women put their own wellbeing last or dismiss symptoms because life is busy and everyone else comes first. Having someone who listens, asks the right questions and takes your concerns seriously can make all the difference.
