Tyler Jacobs once again proves she is one of the fastest during the U23 Women’s XCC World Championships in Val Di Sole, Italy.

XCC - Cross Country Short Track is a 20minute all out intense race over a shortened course consisting of roughly two to three minutes per lap. With an almost carbon copy of last years Bronze medal performance start for Tyler saw her shooting from the fourth row to the lead of the race by the first corner. The race was hotly contested with just one second covering the Top 16 for majority of the race. Tyler kept herself positioned within the top five riders throughout the eight lap race. The final surge just too much for her slipping off the wheel of the lead four riders finishing in fifth place just six seconds behind the winner, Switzerlands Monique Halter.

After a tough season that has been marred by illness, crashes and mechanicals, World Championships is the perfect event to stage a strong come back. Another exceptional result produced by Tyler and building great confidence ahead of the longer format Cross Country Olympic race taking place on Sunday!

Once again, an absolutely brilliant performance - well done Tyler!
