Happy 64th Birthday, Kathleen Havenga! 🏍️🌸✨
Today, we celebrate a truly remarkable woman with an unstoppable spirit! From her early days in Estcourt and her long-standing years in Pietermaritzburg, to making the South Coast (Port Edward and Margate) her home in 1993, Kathleen leaves a beautiful mark wherever she goes. 🌊
In 2013, she left the South Coast to move to Montagu. She loved her time living in the Klein Karoo on the edge of a nature reserve, where baboons, black eagles, Cape cobras, and mongooses were a part of her everyday life. 🦅🐍 Then, in 2019, she relocated to Mossel Bay.
She is a woman of action, heart, and deep community care. ❤️ Whether being involved in women’s organizations and attending conferences overseas ✈., or volunteering her time for the SPCA, Hospice, and the Lions, her generosity knows no bounds. She even combined her love for biking with charity, completing many motorbike rides to raise vital funds for the Cancer Association. 🎗️
When she isn't nurturing her garden 🏡🌻, reading 📚, enjoying music, or immersing herself in nature, you will find her out on the asphalt. For Kathleen, nothing beats an open road, her motorbike's two wheels, and the feeling of pure freedom—it is her absolute soul food! 🏍️💨
She lives by the beautiful philosophy that it's not how you look, it's what you feel inside. ✨ She believes you should never think yourself old, but instead love and enjoy life, and always be grateful. 🙏 As she always says: though her body might be aging, her spirit is still "18 Till I Die"!
