Charles Johnson Memorial Hospital hosted young girls development programme, focusing on intensifying teenage pregnancy, gender based violence and substance abuse at their schools.

The learners were coming from Nhlalakahle, Mgazi Sihayo secondary schools. The young girls campaign was a strategic youth development initiative aimed at empowering young girls with positive values, life skills. The program seek to adress social challenges affecting young girls, including substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, gender based violence, teenage parenthood etc.

The program provided young girls with platform for mentorship, guidance, dialogue and capacity building through the involvement of experience health officials facilitators. At the end of the program all leaners were awarded with the certificates of appreciation.

Hospital board members training for region 3 which is Umzinyathi, Uthukela and Amajuba district was a great success as it was attended by large numbers of board members from the above three districts. This training took place at Madadeni Hall on 09th of April 2026

The main reason for this training was to empower board members about their duties, roles and responsibilities as Hospital board members.
The district director's of region were all present and facilitating the all process.
The Chief Executive Officers of all hospitals under region 3 also available to support the the training.
