Charles Johnson Memorial Hospital hosted young girls development programme, focusing on intensifying teenage pregnancy, gender based violence and substance abuse at their schools.
The learners were coming from Nhlalakahle, Mgazi Sihayo secondary schools. The young girls campaign was a strategic youth development initiative aimed at empowering young girls with positive values, life skills. The program seek to adress social challenges affecting young girls, including substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, gender based violence, teenage parenthood etc.
The program provided young girls with platform for mentorship, guidance, dialogue and capacity building through the involvement of experience health officials facilitators. At the end of the program all leaners were awarded with the certificates of appreciation.
