At Doggobone Active Raw Foods, your pet’s health and safety always come first. We want to take a moment to highlight a crucial handling instruction printed on all of our packaging:

Please remove contents prior to thawing.

We recently received a question about whether our plastic packaging is digestible after a hungry pup got a hold of a tube of Chicken Chow that was left to thaw in its wrapper.

To clarify:

Our plastic packaging is NOT digestible and can pose a serious health hazard if ingested.

Here is why following the thawing instructions is one of the reasons why it is important to your dog's safety:

> It prevents accidental ingestion: If the food is thawed inside the plastic, it becomes soft, smells irresistible to your dog, and is very easy for them to chew through. They can easily swallow the plastic along with the raw food.
> Frozen food is safer to handle: By removing the plastic while the food is still completely frozen, it is incredibly easy to peel off. If your dog does manage to grab a frozen block, they won't be able to quickly ingest a plastic wrapper!

The Correct Way to Thaw Doggobone Meals:
1. Take the frozen tube out of the freezer.
2. Immediately remove all plastic packaging while the meal is still frozen solid.
3. Place the frozen food into a safe bowl or container to thaw.

Please always read the handling procedures on our labels. We put them there for a variety of quality and safety reasons, including keeping your furry best friends out of harm's way!

Following up on our recent feeding trial announcement, we're excited to share the independent laboratory results for our Doggobone Classic formulation!

When we commissioned an independent digestibility trial using internationally recognised AAFCO protocols, our goal was simple: to move beyond opinion and validate our formulation with real nutritional science.

The Doggobone family would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr Duncan, the team at Plumstead Animal Hospital and PlumPets Animal Shelter, and all who knew and loved Paulette.

As one of our longstanding partners, Plumstead Animal Hospital and PlumPets Animal Shelter have been a valued part of our journey, and we were deeply saddened to hear of Paulette's passing.

Together with Dr Duncan, she helped build a practice that has cared for countless pets and the people who love them. Her kindness, dedication and compassion will be remembered by many.

Our thoughts are with Dr Duncan, their family, friends and the entire PAH and PPAS team during this difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Paulette. ❤️🐾

A huge congratulations to Kayla, Tyson, Gabby and Enzo, and their owner, Chantel Stander, for winning our Doggobone hamper giveaway! 🎉❤️

Chantel's raw feeding journey began back in 2014 when her beloved Husky, Shewa, was diagnosed with epilepsy. Throughout her life, she faced many health challenges, but thanks to Chantel's dedication and commitment to her wellbeing, she lived to the age of 10.

We've included a special photo in her memory, as she was the inspiration behind Chantel's decision to switch completely to Doggobone. Her legacy lives on through the love, care and nutrition that continues to fuel this beautiful pack 🐺❤️
