Women's Month π₯°ππ₯
βI didnβt start with a big spa. I started with a dream.β
My journey began with a simple idea β I wanted to create a space where people could feel cared for, relaxed and valued.
I started my mobile spa business in 2011, going from place to place with very little. It was just me, my passion and the determination to make it work. I remember the early days β one treatment bed, three towels and a whole lot of faith!
I worked incredibly hard, often long hours and seven days a week. There were challenges, disappointments and moments when I wondered if I was doing enough. But I kept going.
Over the years, that little dream grew. I eventually opened Livwell Boutique Spa at Golden Horse Casino, and today Livwell has grown into much more than just a spa. We have our Boutique Spa, Nail Bar, Lash and Brow Bar, Mobile Spa and corporate wellness services.
But for me, the biggest achievement isn't the rooms, the treatments or the business itself.
It's the women I have been able to employ, empower and give opportunities to along the way.
I've learned that being a woman in business isn't about having everything figured out. It's about having courage, getting back up when things don't go your way and believing in yourself even when nobody else does.
My advice to women starting their own businesses is simple:
Start with what you have. Don't wait for everything to be perfect. Learn, work hard, surround yourself with good people and never be afraid to dream bigger.
If I could go back and speak to the woman who started with one bed and three towels, I'd tell her:
βKeep going, Liv. One day you'll look back and realise that every struggle was building the woman and the business you were meant to become.β
And that is my Livwell story. β€οΈ
