Job Title: Radiology Receptionist
Location: Pietermaritzburg
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a professional and experienced Radiology Receptionist to join our busy practice. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position within a specialist or radiology environment, non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and courteous manner
• Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
• Entering and data capturing of forms / scanning documents / obtaining signatures.
• Managing incoming calls and responding to enquiries
• Liaising with radiographers, clinical staff, and doctors
• Processing patient billing and confirming medical aid benefits
• Ensuring the reception area is organised and efficiently managed
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information at all times
• Inform patients of required diets for specific procedures
• General office duties
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a receptionist in a radiology practice or similar medical environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities
• Computer literacy
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and manner
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical aids will be advantageous
