Our non verbal children deserves to play and interact with their peers. They should not be kept indoors just because they haven’t learnt to express themselves verbally.Crying,eye gaze and pointing is part of communication.

Dyscalculia Awareness Day: Understanding Math Differences

On March 3rd, we take a moment to acknowledge Dyscalculia Awareness Day.

🧠 What is Dyscalculia?
Dyscalculia is a specific learning difficulty that impacts how someone understands numbers and math concepts. It’s important to note that this isn’t about a student’s effort, behavior, or intelligence. Students with dyscalculia can be talented, creative, and dedicated, yet still struggle with math.

You might notice a student:
- Has trouble understanding the value of numbers (e.g., identifying which number is larger)
- Struggles to remember basic math facts
- Finds it hard to follow multi-step calculations
- Experiences anxiety or avoids math tasks
- Takes much longer than classmates to finish math assignments

These challenges are ongoing and don’t simply get better with more practice.
