As we concluded Men’s Mental Health Month, Mr. Dube delivered a powerful brother-to-brother talk with the men of TUT Polokwane Campus, speaking openly about the impact of drugs and substance use on men’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

He reminded the men that no drug or substance can ever heal emotional wounds or erase life’s scars. Instead, he encouraged them to find the courage to speak up, reach out, and seek help from qualified professionals rather than turning to substances as a coping mechanism.

Mr. Dube concluded his session with the well-known African proverb, “Monna ke nku, o llela teng,” acknowledging the long-held belief that men often suffer in silence. He challenged that mindset by reminding everyone that those days are behind us. Real strength is found in speaking up, asking for help, and supporting one another. It is okay not to be okay, and seeking help is a sign of courage, not weakness.

It was a meaningful and heartfelt way to bring Men’s Mental Health Month to a close—a reminder that healing begins with conversation, vulnerability, and the willingness to seek support.

Men’s Mental Health Talk 💙

SANCA Limpopo proudly concluded Men’s Mental Health Month with a meaningful Heart-to-Heart: Men to Men discussion held at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Polokwane Campus.

The session provided a safe and supportive space for men to engage in honest conversations about mental health, breaking the stigma, embracing vulnerability, and encouraging one another to seek help when needed.

When men speak openly, healing begins. By creating spaces where vulnerability is welcomed, we take an important step towards building healthier individuals, stronger families, and more resilient communities.

A sincere thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this conversation impactful. Together, we continue to remind every man that it’s okay to speak up, ask for help, and prioritize your mental well-being.

🌿 Prioritising Mental Health | Every Conversation Matters 💚

Mental health affects how we think, feel, cope with challenges, and connect with those around us. This July, SANCA Limpopo encourages everyone to make mental well-being a priority by creating safe spaces where people feel heard, supported, and valued.

A simple conversation can offer hope, reduce stigma, and remind someone that they are not alone. Whether you’re checking in on a friend, listening without judgment, or reaching out for help, every step towards better mental health matters.

Together, let’s build stronger families, healthier workplaces, and more resilient communities by choosing compassion, understanding, and kindness every day.

Let’s Talk. Let’s Heal. Let’s Grow. 💙💚
