Thank you to Madeleine Cecil and Charlotte Bekker from FNB Care for entertaining the residents of Huis Louisa Meyburgh with a Spring themed arts and crafts session giving their creativity free reigns. It was a wonderful morning filled with fun and laughter. Thank you to the brave ladies and gentlemen who got out of their comfort zone and enjoyed it so much.

The 2026 official theme is: "It's still in our hands to combat poverty and inequity." Thank you for your Ubuntu spirit displayed today and the toiletries and biscuits you delivered to our residents. Today the residents and staff of Huis Louisa Meyburgh was fortunate to celebrate 50 years of service to the elderly in the community. We thank our heavenly Father for his grace and mercy which carries us every day. Thank you to the amazing staff who deliver their work with great passion and love, creating a safe and happy home for our residents. Moving into the home, people are strangers on day one but soon becomes part of the HLM family. Thank you to the staff for the festive decorations, excellent food, music down memory lane and every contributution that made today special.

Huis Louisa Meyburgh is preparing for their 50th celebration on 15th July. The celebration includes a Christmas in July lunch and a concert by the staff going down memory lane with music from the past 50 years plus a favorite or two to kick the celebrations into another gear. The concert and lunch is for our current residents. We will keep you posted and thought you might like a sneak preview of the team going big! Watch this space...

Thank you to Vernon Boggenpoel for organizing a water truck at Huis Louisa Meyburgh to fill our tanks. This truck was like the light at the end of the tunnel and this time it wasn't the train coming.
