Step into the wild - March 2027 Retreat
Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), South Africa
In March 2027, we gather at Nyosi Wildlife Reserve for an immersive professional training where nature becomes co-facilitator, inviting deeper awareness, reflection, and connection to self, others, and the work we hold as clinicians.
This immersive training is led by an experienced international team of facilitators, Lisa Dion, Marshall Lyles, Abby Esquivel, and Dr Tanya Defferary, each bringing depth in trauma-informed practice, attachment, expressive modalities, and relationally grounded clinical work. Together, they offer a reflective and integrative learning space that supports both professional development and personal insight.
This is not a traditional training space.
It is a place where observation, embodiment, and relational depth are lived, not only taught.
Participants may join in one of three ways:
• The Complete Training Pathway (Part 1 + Part 2)
• Part 1: The Living Mirror – Observing the Wild Within
• Part 2: What the Elements Remember – Intergenerational Integration
As we’ve shaped this experience, we’ve been deeply aware of the importance of creating space for South African practitioners to be part of this work.
We have therefore created a South African Practitioner Pathway, offering access to the core training days within the retreat structure, while allowing flexibility around accommodation and travel.
This pathway has been intentionally designed to make this international-level training more accessible locally, while maintaining the depth, integrity, and clinical focus of the work.
This is a space for psychologists, counsellors, play therapists, and trauma practitioners seeking reflective, embodied, and relationally grounded learning.
If you feel drawn to this work, we would love to welcome you.
