Building secure attachment... Secure attachment forms when babies experience consistent, responsive care.

When parents respond to needs with warmth and predictability, babies learn that they are safe and valued. This foundation supports emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy relationships later in life.

Attachment is built over time, not through perfection, but through presence.

Learn how everyday interactions support attachment in the Little Steps book.

Tummy time plays a crucial role in physical and neurological development.

It strengthens neck, shoulder, and core muscles, supports head control, and prepares babies for rolling, sitting, and crawling. It also helps prevent positional head flattening.

Short, frequent sessions, even a few minutes at a time are more beneficial than forcing long periods.

Our book guides parents on how to introduce tummy time gently and positively, without stress or tears.

Sleep is not just rest, it’s an essential part of brain development.

During sleep, a baby’s brain processes new experiences, consolidates learning, and supports emotional regulation. Frequent waking in infancy is biologically normal and does not mean something is “wrong.”

Understanding realistic sleep expectations helps parents respond calmly and confidently, rather than with frustration or self-doubt.

Little Steps workshops explain infant sleep development in a supportive, age-appropriate way, helping parents know what’s normal and when extra support may be needed.

Breastfeeding Awareness Week | Tiny babies, incredible strength.

For parents of premature babies, the breastfeeding journey often looks very different.

It may begin with expressing milk instead of feeding at the breast. It may involve NICU visits, feeding tubes, tiny milestones, and celebrating every precious drop of breastmilk. It can be overwhelming, but it is also a journey filled with remarkable strength and love.

This week, we'd love to honour the incredible moms of premature babies.

Tell us about your journey.
• What did those early days look like?
• What kept you going when things felt difficult?
• What words of encouragement would you share with another NICU parent?

Your story has the power to bring hope to a family who may be walking the same road today.

Share your experience in the comments. Together, we can remind every parent that they are never alone.

Development is not a race. Every baby develops at their own pace.

Milestones are guidelines, not deadlines. Comparing your child to others often creates unnecessary anxiety and self-doubt.

Understanding typical development helps parents know when to wait, when to support, and when to seek guidance.

Our book explains milestones in a clear, reassuring way.
