TO THE WOMAN WHO HOLDS SO MUCH… 🤍

Today, we celebrate you.

The woman who is becoming a mother.
The mother learning to trust herself.
The woman rebuilding after a difficult season.
The woman who gives, nurtures, carries, comforts and keeps going.

But today, you don't have to be strong for everyone else.

You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to receive.
You are allowed to be cared for.
You are allowed to take up space.

Your body is not simply something that carries you through life.

It deserves tenderness.
It deserves respect.
It deserves to feel safe.

At Louve for You, I believe supporting women means supporting the whole woman — body, mind, nervous system and heart.

From pregnancy and birth preparation to postpartum healing and the quiet moments in between, you deserve support that sees you.

🌿 Happy Women's Day.

May you remember that you don't have to pour from an empty cup.

You matter, too. 🤍

World Breastfeeding Week 🤍

One of the most precious moments after birth is when a baby is placed on their mother's chest.
Long before feeding becomes about routines or schedules, it's about connection.
It's about warmth. It's about safety. It's about learning each other.
Breastfeeding is often described as "natural," but that doesn't always mean it's easy. Many mothers experience sore ni***es, uncertainty, exhaustion, or questions in those first few days—and that's okay.

Whether your breastfeeding journey lasts days, months, or years, every feed, every cuddle, and every moment spent responding to your baby's needs is an act of love.
As a doula, I've seen how much difference compassionate support can make. Sometimes what a new mother needs most isn't advice—it's reassurance. Someone to remind her that she's doing better than she thinks.

This World Breastfeeding Week, let's celebrate not only breastfeeding, but every mother learning, growing, and finding her own rhythm with her baby.
💜 You are doing an incredible job.

✨ Birth begins long before labour begins.

When people think about preparing for birth, they often think about packing a hospital bag, installing the car seat, or choosing baby clothes.

But true birth preparation starts much earlier.

🤍 Preparing your nervous system to feel safe and supported.
🤍 Preparing your mindset to trust your body.
🤍 Preparing your body through movement, rest, massage, and relaxation.
🤍 Preparing your partner so they know how to support you.
🤍 Preparing your environment to help you feel calm and secure.

Birth isn't something that suddenly starts when contractions begin. The work of preparation starts weeks before—and it can make a meaningful difference to how you experience labour.

At Louve for You, my goal is to help you prepare your whole self, not just your hospital bag.

💜 What part of preparing for birth feels most overwhelming to you?
Tell me in the comments—I’d love to support you.

Hello, August. 💜🌻
A new month always feels like an invitation to begin again.
Whether you're preparing to welcome your baby, navigating motherhood, or simply finding your footing in this season of life, I hope August reminds you that progress doesn't have to be perfect.

This month, I'm choosing:
✨ Faith over fear.
✨ Gratitude over complaints.
✨ Progress over perfection.

As August is also my birthday month, I'm taking a moment to celebrate not only another year of life, but the mother and the woman I continue to become. Every challenge, every prayer, every lesson has shaped this journey—and I'm grateful for it all.

To every mama reading this:
You don't have to have it all figured out. One small step, one deep breath, one day at a time is enough. You are growing in ways you may not even see yet.

Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside so many incredible families. It is a privilege to support your journey with care, connection, and calm.
May this month bring peace to your heart, strength to your body, and hope for the road ahead. 🤍

With love, Lourica LouVe For You - Doula & Birth Companion

Touch isn't just comforting. It's physiological preparation for birth. 🤍
Safe, intentional touch does far more than help you relax.
When your body experiences nurturing touch, it can support the release of oxytocin—the hormone that plays an important role in bonding, relaxation, and labour. As your nervous system repeatedly experiences safety, your body begins to recognise that feeling more easily.
Birth isn't only about preparing your mind. It's about teaching your body what safety feels like.
Gentle, informed touch helps create that foundation.
✨ Touch is physiological preparation.

What no one tells you about late pregnancy...

As your due date approaches, your body isn't just changing physically.

Your emotions may feel bigger. Small things may suddenly feel overwhelming. Sleep becomes harder. Discomfort increases. You may feel excited, anxious, impatient, and emotional—sometimes all in the same day.

This isn't because you're "not coping."

It's because your nervous system is working incredibly hard to prepare for birth while adapting to profound hormonal, physical, and emotional changes.

Your body needs more than rest.
It needs to feel safe.

This is why support matters so much in late pregnancy. Whether it's a partner, a trusted friend, your midwife, or a doula, being cared for can help your nervous system settle and remind your body that you don't have to carry everything alone.

💜 Support becomes essential, not optional.

If you're in your final weeks of pregnancy and would like gentle, hands-on support through maternity massage or doula care, I'd love to walk this part of the journey with you.

🌿 Every session begins with grounding.
Before any hands-on work begins, we create a moment of safety.
The gentle scent of carefully selected oils, the warmth of the room, slow breathing, and intentional touch all send a message to your nervous system:
"You are safe."
Our sense of smell is closely connected to the parts of the brain responsible for emotion and memory. Over time, a familiar calming scent can become an anchor, helping your body settle more quickly into a relaxed state.
When your nervous system feels supported, your body is better able to soften, release tension, and prepare for birth.
This is why every Louve for You session starts with a grounding ritual—because preparation isn't just physical.
💜 Every session begins with grounding.

Your body is beautifully connected.
Did you know that your jaw, hips, and pelvic floor often work together? When one area is holding tension, the others can too. Stress doesn't only affect your mind—it can also influence your muscles and fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds them.
During pregnancy, this can contribute to stiffness, discomfort, and reduced ease of movement.
My hands-on pregnancy sessions are designed to gently encourage relaxation, improve mobility, and help your body let go of unnecessary tension before birth. While massage doesn't induce labour, it can support your body in preparing for the work ahead.
Birth preparation is about more than a hospital bag—it's about preparing your body, too.
💜 This is what hands-on preparation targets.
