Dietitian’s week 2026 is celebrated from 1-5 June 2026 in South Africa as well as the UK 🇿🇦🇬🇧 highlighting the vital role of dietitians and their impact on health and nutrition ❤️

Day 3: Share my wins, celebrate colleagues

I studied a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nutrition & Dietetics in South Africa, graduated in 1999 and actually started my career as n Dietitian in the UK! What a ride it’s been!

I worked as a Locum Dietitian for a couple of years which gave me the opportunity to work in so many different fields of dietetics and with so many different Dietitians and health care professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team. One of my placements was as a Home Enteral Feeding Dietitian at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. I am still friends with some of the Dietitians I met then. Those years helped shape me into the Dietitian I am today!!

I am currently in private practice in Pretoria.

I absolutely love my job! Today I want to celebrate my colleagues who became friends!!
