Is your little one squinting at the TV?

Kids don't always know their vision isn't clear. They think everyone sees the world the way they do, so they won't always tell you something is wrong.

A school screening is a quick check, not a full eye test. If you've noticed any of these signs, it's a good idea to book an eye test for your child.

Save this and send it to a parent friend 💛

It's Frame Friday and I need your help 🕶️

Option 1 or option 2? I keep going back and forth between them.

Vote in the comments and be honest, I can take it. The winner might just be coming home with me.

Can't decide on your own pair either? Pop in and let's find your perfect frame.

Today is World Sight Day 👓

Think about the little moments you'd hate to miss. A smile across the dinner table, a first bike ride, the sky on the way home. Clear vision helps you be there for all of them.

If it's been a while since your last eye test, today is a good day to book one. Send us a message or pop in and see us at Eyeland Optometrists.

Dry, itchy eyes are not something you simply have to live with every spring.

🌿 Blink more often, especially when you’re spending time on your phone or laptop.
🕶️ Keep your sunglasses on outdoors to help shield your eyes from wind, dust and pollen.
👀 Try the 20-20-20 rule during screen time: every 20 minutes, look at something about 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
💧 Lubricating eye drops can help relieve dryness, but the right type depends on your eyes and what’s causing the discomfort.

If your eyes are still bothering you after trying these tips, it’s worth getting them checked. Dry eyes can have several different causes, and the right treatment starts with finding the cause.

Book your eye test with Eyeland Optometrists.

Spring is here, and while we’re enjoying warmer days and longer evenings, your eyes might not be quite as happy about it.

🌼 Pollen and wind can irritate the surface of your eyes and contribute to dryness.
💨 Aircon and heaters can lower indoor humidity and leave your eyes feeling dry and uncomfortable.
👀 Seasonal allergies can cause itching, which can lead to more eye rubbing and even more irritation.

If your eyes are constantly dry, itchy, red or uncomfortable, don’t just put up with it. There may be an underlying cause that needs attention.

Book an eye test with us and let’s get your eyes feeling comfortable again.
