Storyography, exploring the contours of working with stories and people from an arts-informed perspective.
For our two-day online course this weekend, Storyography, we’ll be exploring the interaction between narrative and pastoral practices and the different art forms.
Please bring along a few things that are meaningful, interesting, or memorable to you. These could include:
- 📸 Photographs that are meaningful to you or that capture something interesting.
- 🎨 Paintings or images of paintings you’ve created yourself, or other artworks with which you have a personal connection.
- 🎵 Music you’ve created yourself, or a list of music you love and enjoy.
- 🎬 Films that have made a lasting impression on you.
- 🏺 Photographs of pottery, clay work, sculptures, crafts, or anything else you’ve made with your own hands that you’re proud of.
- ✍️Poems, short stories you wrote - ie literary works
- ✨ Anything else related to the arts that you’ve experienced or encountered and that has stayed with you.
Please have your photographs and other materials ready to share in our collective WhatsApp group during the course. Music and other digital files can also be shared or uploaded afterwards, so that we can incorporate these contributions into the course materials alongside the workshop recordings.
The idea is to bring along things that tell a story, evoke a memory, spark curiosity, or have personal significance for you. You don’t need to prepare anything elaborate — simply bring what resonates with you.
