Cynthia Erasmus: “Don’t ignore your body if something feels off, no matter how insignificant, like excessive hair fall, nail discolouration, tiredness – this is your body warning you that something is wrong. I had all of these symptoms before I even felt the lump that changed my life. Looking back now I realize that if I had acted sooner, perhaps I could just have had a lumpectomy instead of a double mastectomy.” (cancer Survivor)

Melissa Willemse: “When it comes to breast cancer age is not a factor. The first doctor I saw immediately dismissed my question about the painful lump under my arm because I was too young for breast cancer. When I eventually went for a second opinion we found out I had stage 3 Triple negative breast cancer. I was 28 the first time and now at 32 I have just finished treatment for a recurrence. My advice is if you feel something is wrong don’t hesitate to get a second opinion. Cancer doesn’t care how old you are.” (cancer Survivor)

Behind every woman is a story.
A journey. A strength the world may never fully see.

Some women are fighting.

Some are healing.

Some are holding the hands of someone they love.

And some are remembering a woman whose courage changed their lives forever.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a reminder that awareness matters, early detection matters and support matters.

💕 Check yourself. Know your body. Don't ignore the signs. Speak to your healthcare professional about breast health and recommended screening.

PROGRESS ISN’T ALWAYS MEASURED IN STEPS. SOMETIMES, IT’S MEASURED IN LEAPS.

After a motorcycle accident, recovery can be a long and challenging road especially when someone you love is the one working through it.

We are incredibly grateful to receive words like these from Kris-Mari Bothma, whose son experienced massive leaps of progress with each session.

For us physiotherapy isn't simply about treating an injury. It's about understanding the person behind it, finding the right approach and celebrating every step forward no matter how big or small.

Thank you Kris-Mari for trusting us with your son's recovery.

Your words mean more than you know. 🤍

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
OCTOBER

Strength is not always loud.
Sometimes it looks like showing up.
Sometimes it looks like taking one more step.
Sometimes it simply means not giving up.

This October we honour those who are fighting,
those who are healing, those who are remembering and those who stand beside them.

Awareness • Support • Hope 🎀

How can I help my little one get rid of phlegm?

When upper respiratory infections strike, thinning the sputum is key. Here are a few tips:
A nasal aspirator (like the popular NoseFrida / "snot sucker") can be very helpful for the upper airways.

If the infection spreads to the chest or lungs it’s time for a professional physio session.

Remember you don't need a medical referral to come see us for physio!
