✨ A NEW NAME. A SIGNATURE WAY OF CARING.

Today, we introduce Signature Oncology Centre.

A name that reflects where we are going and a promise that reflects how we will continue to care.

Under the care of Dr Bessy Thomas, our focus remains on the person behind the diagnosis, understanding your story, walking alongside you and making your cancer journey as personal and supported as possible.

Because no two journeys are the same.

And neither should your care be.

Your Journey.

A New Chapter. Built on a Legacy.

For many years, Dr Coccia-Portugal created something truly special, a place where cancer care was personal, compassionate and centred around the person behind the diagnosis.

Her belief in “curing by caring” became more than a phrase. It became part of who we are.

As we move forward as Signature Oncology Centre, we are not leaving that legacy behind.

We are building on it.

The same commitment to knowing our patients.
The same personalised care.
The same close-knit, compassionate approach.
The same heart.

Our vision is growing so that we can extend this philosophy of care beyond breast cancer to patients facing a wider range of cancer diagnoses.

A new name.
A broader vision.
A legacy that continues.

Your Journey. Our Signature Care. Curing By Caring.

Something new is coming… ✨

A New Name. A Wider Reach. The Same Commitment to You.

The time has come to share what we’ve been working towards.

On 1 September 2026, we will begin a new chapter as Signature Oncology Centre.

Our name is changing, and our vision is growing, but the values that have always shaped our care remain at the heart of everything we do.

The same personalised care.
The same compassionate team.
The same belief in curing by caring.

Our new website will also go live on 1 September:

We’re excited to take this next step with you.

Something new is coming…

Our Vision Is Growing.

What began with a focus on breast cancer care has grown.

While breast cancer remains at the heart of what we do, our team is now able to extend the same personalised, patient-centred approach to people facing other cancer diagnoses too.

More than a name change.

A natural next step in our mission to care.

Something new is coming…

A NEW NAME. The Same Heart.

For years, we have cared for our patients in a small, intimate setting, putting people first and believing in curing by caring.

As we enter a new chapter, one thing remains unchanged…

The care. The people. The personal touch. The heart.

Sometimes, the first step is simply to breathe. 🤍

You don’t have to have all the answers right now. Take a moment, gather yourself, and know that you don’t have to walk this journey alone.

We will take it one step at a time — together. 🌿

🩷 WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOPE AND FORCING YOURSELF TO BE POSITIVE?

Forced positivity often tries to make reality seem better than it actually is.

It says: “Just think positively; everything will work out.”

Hope does something different. Hope does not deny the pain, uncertainty or impossibility of the moment. It looks it squarely in the eyes – and still believes that the future is not limited by what seems possible today.

Positivity relies on possibilities. Hope relies on God’s faithfulness.

Where positivity says: “I believe things can get better because there are still possibilities,” hope says: “I believe things can get better, even when I can no longer see any possibility – because God is greater than what I can see, understand or anticipate.”

Hope, therefore, is not about forcing yourself to feel positive. It is about allowing yourself to acknowledge the truth of today, without limiting the possibilities of tomorrow for God.

Hope can look different for every patient.

Sometimes it means cure. Sometimes more time. Sometimes comfort, dignity, and the reassurance that you are not facing it alone.

Whatever form hope takes, it matters.

At the Centre, we believe in caring for the whole person — with compassion, expertise and a commitment to making every part of the journey feel a little less overwhelming.

Because sometimes, caring is what helps us hold onto hope. 🤍
