Can you guess what I used to soften my own Nasolabial crease?

This isn't an area where I would normally use filler as a first option, because a nasolabial fold/crease is caused by overall skin laxity (collagen loss) or volume loss in other areas of the face.

In my case it's especially noticeable on the left side which I sleep on most😁

I used a Skinbooster to soften, hydrate and plump out the crease, to prevent it from becoming a static fold in the skin.
It was done on the other side as well, but a bit more was put in the deeper crease.

No puffiness or distortion! My goal wasn't to remove the fold all together - this can look very unnatural! It should last around 9-12 months.

Skinboosters are incredible treatments to improve fine lines and hydrate from inside. This is especially useful around the mouth where the muscle naturally causes little lines to form over time💋

It can be used to soften crows feet, and hydrate fine lines and crepey skin over the whole cheek💉

WHY I SUGGEST BIO-STIMULATORS TO ALL MY PATIENTS ✨

Because beautiful, healthy-looking skin isn’t just about adding volume or relaxing wrinkles - it’s about supporting your skin’s own ability to regenerate and maintain itself.

As we age, collagen and elastin production naturally decline. This contributes to thinner skin, loss of firmness, laxity, lines and changes in facial structure.

That’s where bio-stimulators come in.

Rather than simply filling a space, bio-stimulatory treatments are designed to improve skin quality and stimulate biological processes that support collagen and/or elastin production.

At Euphoria Medical Aesthetics, I use different bio-stimulatory treatments depending on what your skin needs:

SC@LPTR@
A poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) injectable that stimulates your own collagen production, helping to improve firmness, structure and overall facial quality gradually over time.

HArm@nyC@
A hybrid injectable combining hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), designed to provide immediate support while also encouraging collagen stimulation.

HY@M@X SUPER H
A skin-quality treatment designed to deeply hydrate the skin while supporting improved elasticity, texture and overall skin quality.

S@NEKOS
A combination of hyaluronic acid and amino acids that focuses on skin regeneration and quality, making it particularly useful when the goal is healthier, more hydrated and rejuvenated-looking skin.

The important part?
There isn't one “best” bio-stimulator.
Different products work in different ways, and the right choice depends on your age, skin quality, degree of laxity, facial anatomy and aesthetic goals.

And often, the best results come from combining different treatments strategically rather than relying on a single product.

Think of it as investing in your skin's future - not just treating what you see today. 🤍

WHY IS EVERYONE OBSESSED WITH SALMON DNA? 🐟🧬✨

You may have heard people talking about “Salmon DNA” treatments, but what does that actually mean?

Polynucleotides (PN) are injectable regenerative treatments made from highly purified DNA fragments, traditionally derived from salmon or trout. These fragments are carefully processed and purified, so this is not simply injecting “salmon DNA” into your face!

The real obsession is with what polynucleotides can do for the skin.
Polynucleotides work by supporting the skin's natural regenerative processes and improving the environment in which your skin cells function.

They can help to:
✨ Improve skin quality and hydration
✨ Support collagen and elastin production
✨ Improve skin elasticity
✨ Reduce the appearance of fine lines
✨ Support tissue repair and regeneration
✨ Improve overall skin texture and radiance

Unlike dermal filler, polynucleotides are not designed to add volume or change the shape of your face. Instead, they focus on improving the quality and health of the skin itself.

This makes them particularly exciting for delicate and difficult-to-treat areas, such as the under-eye area.

Think of polynucleotides as a treatment that focuses less on changing your face and more on helping your skin function at its best.
Healthy, hydrated, resilient skin will always be in style.

Would you try a “Salmon DNA” skin treatment?

In a world where more and more faces are starting to look the same, individuality has never been more beautiful.

Medical aesthetics should not be about chasing a trend, copying someone else's features, or creating a “perfect” face.
Your face tells your story - and your unique proportions, expressions and characteristics are part of what makes you you.

✨ The goal should be refinement, not replacement.
✨ Enhancement, not transformation.
✨ Balance, not conformity.

As aesthetic treatments become more accessible and social media, AI and filters continue to influence what we perceive as beautiful, it is important to remember that one face cannot - and should not - suit everyone.

My approach is to assess your facial anatomy, proportions and concerns, and create a treatment plan that enhances your features while maintaining the individuality that makes your face uniquely yours.

Because the best aesthetic results shouldn't make people wonder “Who did your work?”

They should simply think:
“You look amazing!”

Your HORMONES can influence your collagen response.

If you’re in peri-menopause or menopause, you may notice that your skin doesn’t respond to treatments in quite the same way it used to.

One reason? Oestrogen.

As oestrogen levels fluctuate and eventually decline, there is a reduction in collagen production, skin thickness, hydration and overall skin quality. This creates a different environment for collagen-stimulating treatments such as PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) bio-stimulators.

PLLA works by stimulating your own fibroblasts to produce new collagen — but it needs your body to have the capacity to mount that response.

This doesn’t mean PLLA “doesn’t work” during menopause. Rather, you may need:

✨ More patience with your results.

✨ A more tailored treatment plan - it's been found that by doing Skinbooster treatments before PLLA on peri-menopausal and menospausal patients, the Bio-stimulator results are better.

✨ Multiple sessions or maintenance treatments.

✨ A holistic approach that addresses skin health alongside collagen stimulation.

And this is why I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to aesthetics.

Your age, hormonal stage, skin quality, lifestyle and degree of collagen loss all influence how we plan your treatment.

The goal isn’t to fight ageing - it’s to understand what is happening to your skin and work with your biology.

In peri-menopause or menopause? Your treatment plan may need to evolve with you. Schedule your appointment with Dr Marli to discuss your options.

24/08/2026

Eating something before an aesthetic injection appointment is very important mainly to help you feel comfortable, steady and less likely to feel faint during or after the treatment.

It helps maintain blood glucose: Arriving on an empty stomach can make some people feel shaky, weak, nauseous or light-headed.

It reduces the chance of feeling faint: Needles, anxiety, pain and the treatment environment can trigger a vasovagal response in some patients. Having eaten can help you feel more stable.

It can improve tolerance of the appointment: Even relatively quick treatments such as Tox can feel more uncomfortable when you're hungry, dehydrated or generally run down.

It supports recovery: Your body needs adequate energy and nutrients for normal tissue healing following filler, biostimulators and skinboosters.

It helps with post-treatment symptoms: If you're already hungry or dehydrated, mild post-treatment swelling, tenderness or dizziness may feel more unpleasant.

It doesn't need to be a large meal. A normal, balanced meal or snack 1-2 hours before your appointment is usually sufficient, along with good hydration.

And importantly, eating beforehand doesn't prevent bruising or swelling - those are influenced by the treatment itself, your individual response and factors such as medications and alcohol.

For patients prone to feeling faint, I'd be particularly strict about not coming to an appointment fasting.

If you have any concerns about what to avoid before your injectable treatment, you are always welcome to send Dr Marli a WhatsApp message📱

AGEING IS MORE THAN WRINKLES

When we think about facial ageing, we often focus on the lines we can see.

But ageing happens on multiple levels:

✨ Skin: collagen, elastin and hydration decrease - thinner, drier, less resilient skin

✨ Fat: fat compartments can shrink, shift and descend - changes in facial contours

✨ Bone: gradual bone remodelling reduces some of the structural support of the face

✨ Muscle: changes in muscle activity contribute to expression lines and altered facial dynamics

✨ Ligaments & soft tissue: support changes - contributing to laxity and tissue descent

That’s why treating ageing effectively isn’t always about “filling wrinkles”.

It’s about understanding WHAT is changing, WHERE it is changing and WHY - and choosing the right treatment for that particular concern.

The goal isn’t to make you look like someone else.
It’s to help your face age well, naturally and in harmony with your features.

Because she wanted VA-VA-VOOM!💋💉

Not all facial features allow for full lips, but when that is exactly what the patient wants and I determine that it actually suits her face - I will most definitely do it!

These photos were not taken in the same light or angles and for that reason I normally wouldn't post it. But I think the result is still worth a share☺️

2 Treatments were needed to build the volume in these lips, especially the upper lip. The aim was also a better proportion of the lip ratios.

I did tox in the chin and mouth angles during the first appointment and that has done a lot to relax those muscles.

I expect a beautiful, natural result after the swelling has settled💋

The under-eye area is one of the most complex areas to treat, because not all under-eye concerns have the same cause.

It can be affected by:
✨ Skin quality and collagen loss
✨ Fat pad descent or prominence
✨ Midface volume loss
✨ Dark circles from pigmentation or genetics
✨ Tear trough shadows and changes in facial anatomy

And that’s why there is no one-size-fits-all treatment.

The key is identifying what is actually causing the concern before choosing a treatment - because the right solution for one patient may not be the right solution for another.

Under-eye rejuvenation is about diagnosis first, treatment second.

If your delicate eye area is concerning you, schedule an appointment with Dr Marli to discuss the best options for your needs.
