Demonstrating the correct procedure of Hijama (also known as Wet Cupping) by a certified and trained practitioner - Mohamed, founder of Tayib Health.
All safety and hygiene measures are in place.
Patients go through a pre-Hijama health check regarding any illnesses or chronic medications the patient is on. Once the patient is deemed suitable for Hijama, they arrive to a sterile environment. Any pain or other issues are discussed with the patient on the day to evaluate which points to cup.
Tayib Health only performs Hijama on patients who own their own cups. This is the safest method to prevent the spread of blood-borne diseases. Other safety measures include doing Hijama on only one patient at a time, using disposable sterile gloves per patient, using a disposable blade/lancet per patient and the disposal of all infectious waste via the services of a medical waste disposal company.
Cupping (dry or massage) can be performed throughout the month and more than once, but patients can only perform wet cupping (Hijama) once a month. The patient in the video has opted to perform Hijama on the lunar Sunnah days (either the 17th, 19th or 21st of the lunar month), when it is most optimal.
The patient is a healthy male who is physically fit and maintains a healthy diet. Performing Hijama is a preventative measure to help cleanse and detoxify the body, God Willing.
Hijama bookings available in and surrounding areas.
