One of the most freeing things I can tell parents: a tantrum is not always a reflection of your parenting. Their brain simply hasn’t built the wiring yet to pause, think, and choose a calmer response; that comes with time and practice. But not every tantrum is the same.

Learning the difference between an ordinary tantrum and something deeper can change both how you respond and when it’s time to reach out for support.

It’s easy to take a hard moment personally. Your child yelling, the meltdown that seems to come from nowhere. But most of the time, it’s a nervous system that’s overwhelmed, not a reflection of you.

In sessions, I work with children to understand what’s driving it and build the skills to recover from it.

Not sure if it’s a phase or something more?

In child therapy, healing often happens quietly through play, patterns and through moments that don’t always look like “talking” but still say everything.

Each piece matters: understanding, emotions, guidance, play, safety, growth. Together, they help children (and parents) begin to see behaviour not as “wrong,” but as communication that can be understood and supported.

Step by step, connection starts to form again.

Some relationships feel like they’ve been torn,
misunderstood, stretched, or broken in ways that feel too far gone. But even in those moments, nothing is beyond repair.

With understanding, care, and the right support, what feels fragmented can be pieced back together.

Every child experiences the world in their own way.

Therapy can help when a child is struggling to express what they’re feeling or going through.

Through play, children are given a space where they can explore, respond, and express freely, without pressure or expectation.

In this space, I observe, listen, and follow what unfolds through play helping give shape and understanding to what a child is expressing in their own way.

A space where nothing has to be explained perfectly.
Where big feelings can show up in small, playful ways.

Where being understood doesn’t rely on having the right words.

Holding space for a child means meeting them where they are with patience and care.

Through play, their world slowly begins to make sense, piece by piece. 🤍

Sometimes, what looks like simple play…

is actually a child trying to express something they don’t yet have words for.

In play therapy, we explore these moments;
not to assume, but to understand.
Because every little creation can hold a deeper story 💛

In play, everything speaks.

Book a play therapy session to better understand your child’s world.

Child therapy often looks different than people expect.

For me, it’s about connection through play, laughter, and creativity.

Creating a space where children feel safe enough to just be themselves.
Because for many children, play is their language. Through it, they express what they feel, what they don’t yet have words for, and how they experience their world.

My role is to meet them there, and support them as they begin to make sense of it all in their own way.

This is what holding space looks like.✨
