Today, this practice celebrates its 3rd birthday! 🥹💙

Three years of milestones, challenges, happy tears, little victories and the privilege of caring for so many incredible patients and families.

When I started this journey, I never imagined how many beautiful people I would meet or how many special journeys I would be part of.

From tiny milestones to big comebacks, hospital journeys to happy homecomings — every patient has left a little mark on my heart. 💙

To every patient and family who has trusted me: thank you. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey and for trusting me with your care.

Three years down, and I still feel incredibly lucky to do what I love. 🥹

The love and commitment you have for your patients is impossible not to notice. You don’t just show up to do a job. You show up with your whole heart.

You celebrate the smallest milestones, encourage patients through the difficult days, care deeply for every family and give so much of yourself to help others. Whether it’s helping a little one breathe easier, supporting a child through recovery or helping a patient regain confidence in their body — you make a difference in ways that go far beyond physiotherapy.

Your patients are not just names on a diary. They are people you genuinely care about, and that is one of the most beautiful things to witness.

Every team needs that one person who somehow knows where everything is, what everyone needs, who needs to be called, what needs to happen next… and how to keep the rest of us somewhat organised! 😂

And for us, that person is YOU! 🫶🏻

You are so much more than our secretary. You are the friendly face, the calm in the chaos, the problem-solver, the organiser, the reminder-giver and, on some days, probably our unofficial therapist too! 🤣

Thank you for everything you do behind the scenes to keep our little physio world turning. So much of what you do may go unnoticed, but we notice, we appreciate you, and we couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

😂 Plot twist: The social media manager has been busy…

And by “the social media manager” I mean… me. 🤣🙋🏼‍♀️

Somewhere between work, life, family, friends and everything in between, keeping up with social media slipped down the priority list.

And you know what? That’s okay. 🤍

We’re often told we need to do it all, keep showing up, stay productive and never miss a beat.

But sometimes life gets busy. Sometimes family needs you. Sometimes you need to put the phone down, step away from the screen and simply be present.

Because there is more to life than likes, reels and posting schedules. ❤️

So here’s your little reminder from our very absent social media manager:

✨ Make time for your people.
✨ Make time for the things that make you laugh.
✨ Make time for family, friends and the people you love.
✨ And most importantly, make time for YOU.

💙 NICU Graduate 💙

A new heartbeat.
Ten tiny fingers and ten tiny toes.
A voice still too little to say “Mommy” or “Daddy.”

Yet somehow, little Cohan has found a place in each of our hearts.

On 3 June 2026, after 106 days in the NICU, we celebrate a milestone that once felt so far away. Born at just 27 weeks, Cohan has shown a strength far greater than his tiny size, and today he finally gets to go home with Mom and Dad.

What an unbelievable privilege it has been to be a small part of your journey. As myself and Emily’s very first premature baby, you will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Cohan, our prayers have been answered.

May your ten little fingers touch countless lives as you grow, and may your ten tiny toes leave deep footprints in the hearts of everyone you meet along the way.

To Mom and Dad — thank you for allowing us to walk a small part of this journey with you. Your strength, faith, and unwavering love have been inspiring to witness.

💥 Myth Busting Monday 💥

❌ Myth: “Chest physio is just clapping your child on the back.”

✅ Busted!

Chest physiotherapy is so much more than percussion alone.

While gentle percussion may be used in some cases, a physiotherapist carefully assesses your child’s:
🫁 Breathing pattern
🫁 Lung condition
🫁 Age and developmental stage
🫁 Ability to cough and clear secretions

Treatment may include:
✨ Positioning
✨ Breathing exercises
✨ Assisted cough techniques
✨ Airway clearance techniques
✨ Mobilisation and movement
✨ Parent education

Not every child with a cough or chest infection needs percussion, and in some cases, incorrect “clapping” at home may be ineffective or even inappropriate.

💡 The goal of chest physiotherapy isn’t simply to loosen mucus—it’s to help your child breathe easier, clear their airways effectively, and support their recovery safely.

👉 Every child is different, which is why physiotherapy treatment should be tailored to their specific needs.
