A psycho-educational assessment consists of a battery of tests that provides information on a child’s overall intelligence (IQ), learning style, information processing abilities/deficits and academic skills. If your child has been described as attention-seeking, lazy, inattentive, then it would be beneficial to schedule an appointment with me, especially if you notice your child struggles with the following:
• Difficulties paying attention or following directions.
• Experiences frustrations with grade-level work at any age
• Have gaps in skills or inconsistent performance at school.
• Has memory and organisational problems
• Experiences a decline in grades or school performance.
• Have consistent problems getting homework done.
• Routinely runs out of time on tests.
• Tells you she/he hates school or refuses to go.
"A psycho-educational assessment has the potential to tell us how a child learns, and pinpoint exactly where they are struggling "
"So-called behavior issues are really 'lack of understanding' issues and 'lack of appropriate support' issues."
