More than 1,000 volunteers are ready to support as part of WAGGGS’ global Volunteer Pool, and that’s just at the global level. 🌎

Across our Member Organisations, thousands more volunteers give their time, share their skills and create opportunities for girls and young women every day. From local units to national teams, volunteers are what make Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting possible. ☘️♥️

Applications are now open for the Global Advocacy Champions 2026–2027!

Are you a Girl Guide or Girl Scout aged 18–30? Are you passionate about gender equality and advocacy, and do you want to make a difference for girls and young women?

The Global Advocacy Champions network is a chance to build your advocacy and leadership skills, meet other young women from around the world, and take your voice to the global stage.

As a Champion, you’ll have opportunities to:
✨ Build skills in advocacy, leadership, and public speaking.
🌍 Represent WAGGGS at international spaces, including the UN Commission on the Status of Women
📣 Speak up on issues that matter to girls and young women, from climate action and digital safety to body confidence
💡 Take what you learn back to your community and lead projects that create change locally

And you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll be part of a global network of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts who are learning, sharing and taking action together.

A period-friendly world is a world in which menstruation is accepted as a normal fact of life and is no longer stigmatised. It is a world in which everyone is educated about menstruation from an early age.

Have you thought about what happens to the chips packet you threw out the car window or the lollipop stick you dropped on the ground and didn't pick up....

🌧️🚰 Only Rain Down the Drain

Did you know that stormwater drains are not connected to treatment systems? Everything that goes into them flows directly into our rivers and oceans.

That means litter, chemicals, and waste dumped into drains end up polluting the very waters we’re trying to protect. 🌊

As part of the campaign, we’re raising awareness about how everyday actions — from what we flush to what we throw in drains — have a direct impact on our environment.

🚽 Remember: Only flush the 3 P’s — P*e, Poo and (toilet) Paper
🌧️ And only rain belongs in the drain

Let’s work together to keep our waterways clean and protect our oceans for future generations 💙
