This Youth Day, we share voices from our bursary programme that show how education continues to shape futures. Their experiences highlight what becomes possible when access meets determination, built on the legacy of the youth of 1976, whose courage paved the way.

Since 2016, the AfroCentric bursary programme has supported healthcare students through funding, mentorship, and development - enabling them to pursue their ambitions and make a meaningful impact in society.

Reflect on the journeys of Dr Risuna, Keaobaka, and Dr Tovhowani. Be inspired to go further than you ever thought possible!

In a recent Mahikeng FM interview, Fezeka Nompumza reflects on Medscheme’s appointment as administrator and managed care provider for Sisonke Health Medical Scheme, effective 1 May 2026 - leveraging over 55 years of experience to support mineworkers and their families.

The Sisonke partnership strengthens Medscheme’s position within the healthcare sector and reflects ongoing trust in its scale, expertise, and operational capabilities.

“We have client liaison on site to manage members’ day-to-day enquiries. We also provide a comprehensive suite of services which encompasses the medical administration, managed care, health risk management, wellness programmes and technology-driven healthcare solutions,” – Fezeka.

Inclusion is part of who we are - it’s how we recognise diverse experiences, unlock potential, and build a stronger, more innovative organisation together.

Let’s throw it back to a standout moment for AfroCentric Group - our first ESD Beneficiary Showcase, where the reveal of Moyreg’s mobile clinic brought partnership, progress and healthcare on wheels to life.

A big thank you to our dedicated ESD team for bringing the vision to fruition, to Medscheme and Pharmacy Direct for backing change that matters, and to our leadership for continually championing meaningful transformation.
