Since 2016, the AfroCentric bursary programme has supported healthcare students through funding, mentorship, and development - enabling them to pursue their ambitions and make a meaningful impact in society.

We are excited to see Dr Nkateko Msimeki, Acting Executive Manager: Clinical Health Risk Management at Medscheme, contribute to a key panel at the Value-Based Care Conference 2026 on 5 June at the Southern Sun Hotel in Sandton, where industry leaders will unpack the realities of delivering value-driven care in complex environments.

In a recent Mahikeng FM interview, Fezeka Nompumza reflects on Medscheme’s appointment as administrator and managed care provider for Sisonke Health Medical Scheme, effective 1 May 2026 - leveraging over 55 years of experience to support mineworkers and their families.

The Sisonke partnership strengthens Medscheme’s position within the healthcare sector and reflects ongoing trust in its scale, expertise, and operational capabilities.

“We have client liaison on site to manage members’ day-to-day enquiries. We also provide a comprehensive suite of services which encompasses the medical administration, managed care, health risk management, wellness programmes and technology-driven healthcare solutions,” – Fezeka.
