It’s Women’s Month, and this year I’m celebrating her. Me. ❤️
The woman I’ve become.
I’m a mom — and I give that job everything I have.
I’m a wife to a man I deeply respect, who provides for our family, backs me, listens to me and is my sounding board through all the madness.
I’m a professional, and I work damn hard.
I’m a business owner, and I genuinely love what I’ve built and every single person who walks through our doors.
I’m a friend — and when I love people, I love them HARD.
And above everything, I am a child of God. I know exactly who my Maker is, and I know that every door, every blessing and every bit of strength I have comes from Him.
Sometimes I think about the girl in her 20s who was so unsure of where she belonged. Trying to find herself. Wondering if she was enough. Wondering where her place in this world would eventually be.
Girl… look at us now. 🥹
I found my place. Actually, I think I built it.
My load is heavy. Some days it is really bloody heavy. 😂
But I carry it so damn well.
And when I look at what’s actually IN that load — my children, my husband, my family, my career, my business, my friendships, my faith — I realise…
What an absolute privilege it is to have so much worth carrying.
So yes, I’m going to say it out loud:
I am SO damn proud of myself.
Of the woman I fought to become.
Of the life I’ve built.
Of the way I love.
Of the way I show up.
Both feet flat on the ground. I know who I am. I know Whose I am. And I know where I’m going.
Happy Women’s Month to every beautifully complex woman carrying a heavy load and making it look lighter than it is. 🤍
We carry it well.
