One of the greatest joys of being a speech therapist is seeing therapy goals come to life beyond the therapy room.

Tamara and Kirsten recently had the privilege of attending Mr Mike Larmont's book launch after supporting him throughout his therapy journey.

This July, we're celebrating four incredible years of helping children and adults find their voice, build confidence, and achieve meaningful goals.

What started as a dream has grown into a practice filled with passionate therapists, wonderful families, and so many milestones worth celebrating. Every smile, new word, breakthrough and success story reminds us why we love what we do.

🎓 Exciting news!

We're incredibly proud to share that Kirsten has successfully completed her DIR® 201 Certificate, following an intensive 16-week training programme.

The DIR® (Developmental, Individual-differences, Relationship-based) model focuses on understanding each child as an individual—building on their unique strengths, interests and developmental profile to support meaningful communication, emotional regulation and social engagement.

This additional qualification allows Kirsten to further support children with neurodevelopmental differences by creating therapy that is relationship-based, child-led and tailored to each child's individual needs.

We're committed to continually learning and growing so we can provide the very best care for the families we serve.

Every child is unique, which means every therapy journey is too. 💙

The type of therapy we provide depends on each child's individual strengths, challenges, and goals. We create personalised treatment plans that are tailored to their specific needs, ensuring that therapy is meaningful, engaging, and effective.

One of the most common questions we receive is, "How many sessions will my child need?" The answer is that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Speech therapy is a journey, and progress looks different for every child.

Typically, therapy sessions take place weekly, with a focus on achieving both short-term and long-term goals. Along the way, we celebrate every milestone, no matter how big or small, and work closely with families to support each child's communication growth.

Our role is to walk alongside your child and family, providing guidance, support, and encouragement every step of the way. ✨

When most people think of speech therapy, they think of speech and communication—but did you know that speech therapists are also trained to assess and manage swallowing difficulties?

Dysphagia (dis-fay-juh) is the term used when a person has difficulty swallowing food, liquids, or even medication. This can affect a person's nutrition, hydration, health, and overall quality of life.

Our goal is to help ensure that food and liquids can be swallowed as safely and efficiently as possible, reducing the risk of complications and helping individuals maintain their independence and enjoyment of mealtimes.

If you or a loved one are experiencing coughing during meals, difficulty swallowing, a sensation of food getting stuck, or recurrent chest infections, a swallowing assessment may be beneficial.
