A doctor is a lifelong learner. There is always more to learn, more to refine, and another reason to return to the classroom.

Four years later, back in Italy 🇮🇹 doing what I love, learning, connecting, and refining the art and science of . All these noses, each with its own character, remind me why I love this work: the detail, the precision, and the balance between breathing well and looking beautiful.

Being reunited with some of my favourite people and learning from pioneering surgeons and teachers has been incredibly special. Familiar faces, amazing new colleagues, and so much knowledge generously shared.

Thank you to European College Of Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery-ECAMS and the entire team for an exceptional course. The teaching was spectacular, the energy inspiring, and the experience beyond anything words can capture.

Four years later, it was a pleasure to be back. Thank you, European College Of Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery-ECAMS , my teachers Dr. Hossam F**a Dr. Alexander Berghaus and colleagues, for making it such a memorable experience. 🤍🇮🇹

It feels so good to be back. 🤍

After a couple of years where motherhood beautifully took centre stage, this weekend I finally got to reconnect with another part of myself that I truly love , learning, growing and continuously refining my craft as a surgeon.

I had the privilege of attending the Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery & Basic Skull Base Course hosted by the University of Pretoria ENT Department, made even more special as we celebrated the 10-year anniversary of this incredible course. 🎉

Medicine has a way of reminding you that you never really stop being a student. There is always more to learn, another skill to refine and another opportunity to become better for the patients who trust us with their care.

And what a joy to do it alongside amazing colleagues who continue to teach, inspire and create spaces for us to grow. 📚

Motherhood may have borrowed me for a little while… but the student, the surgeon and the love for learning never left.

Here’s to learning more, improving more, and continuing to evolve.

It’s good to be back. 🩷

3 months post op.

Not every deviated septum can be corrected with a simple endoscopic septoplasty.

In patients with an old nasal fracture, the problem may extend beyond the septum itself. The nasal bones and supporting framework can also be displaced, affecting both the way the nose functions and the way it looks.

For these patients, a functional septorhinoplasty may be the better approach, allowing us to straighten and support the nose, improve the nasal airway, and at the same time restore a more balanced, natural appearance.

As an ENT surgeon, my priority is always function: helping you breathe better. But when we’re reconstructing the nose, we also have the opportunity to refine its shape in a way that remains natural and suits your face.

Better breathing. Better balance. Still you.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Being a child to an ENT surgeon definitely has its perks… your nose will be rinsed, sprayed with saline, checked, and probably sprayed with a steroid too 😂 I don’t play about noses in this house.

Good nasal hygiene is basically plumbing, keep things flowing and everyone breathes better.
