Too many girls miss school due to a lack of sanitary products, but this initiative is changing that, and boys are part of the solution. By standing alongside their peers, inclusion is fostered.

Principal Mr. Omondi thanked The Samburu Project and Kapa Oil Refineries, calling on others to join in.

290 menstrual boxes. Hundreds of smiles. Countless possibilities.

At Nkaroni Girls, 290 menstrual boxes were distributed through the leadership of The Samburu Project, in collaboration with Airkenya Express, Kapa Oil Refineries and PadMad Kenya committed to ensuring that no girl’s education is interrupted by her period.

Each box was thoughtfully packed with essentials including a menstrual kit, cycle tracking booklet, exercise books, a pen, tissue, and soap — practical tools that support menstrual health, dignity, confidence, and continued learning.

Beyond the supplies, these boxes represent something bigger: a future where menstruation is not a barrier to education, where girls can manage their periods safely and confidently, and where conversations about menstrual health are open, informed, and inclusive.

Ending period poverty requires all of us. Join the movement by sharing, supporting, and helping create a world where every girl has the resources she needs to thrive.

Who said conversations about periods can't be fun?

Wamba Mixed Day School brought the energy. There was dancing, singing, laughter, learning, and plenty of excitement throughout the day. The students showed up ready to participate, ask questions, and make the most of every moment.

The Menstrual Box distribution was a highlight, reminding us that access to menstrual health products can bring confidence, dignity, and opportunity to girls who need them.

Days like these are why we do this work. Real impact happens when education, community, and a little bit of fun come together.

What an incredible day at Wamba Mixed Day School!

The energy, excitement, and engagement from 939 students, including 389 girls and 550 boys, reminded us why menstrual health education matters. From student performances to a pad-use demonstration, the day was filled with learning, participation, and enthusiasm.

The highlight was the distribution of Menstrual Boxes, providing girls with the resources they need to manage their periods with dignity and stay focused on their education.

This is exactly what the Menstrual Box initiative is about: breaking stigma, promoting understanding, and ensuring that no girl misses school because of her period.
