We have pioneered a wholesome approach to fertility, supporting our patients medically, physically and emotionally. Our doctors are registered reproductive specialists with the South African Medical and Dental Council and have a collective experience of over 150 years. We are also the first fertility clinic to receive the converted ISO 15189 accreditation which demonstrates our facility meets the high quality, performance, technical expertise standards. We do everything in our power to ensure that you arrive as a patient and leave as a parent. We understand that infertility is one of life’s most difficult challenges medically, emotionally and financially and we have the experience, support and staff to help you through your fertility journey. We begin with a structured and co-ordinated series of investigations to understand what the cause of the infertility is. Once that is established we work closely with you to develop an individualised holistic treatment plan in order to achieve your family dream in the shortest time frame possible. Most couples only come to us after many unsuccessful experiences – pain that could have been avoided if we were approached sooner. If you are looking for a fertility specialist Vitalab and our dedicated industry leading team are here and willing to provide you with the best medical care the industry has to offer.

To the men hoping to become fathers… this Father’s Day, we want you to know: you are not forgotten.

Infertility doesn’t only affect women. It affects men too.

Yet many men carry this journey quietly- supporting their partners while silently processing their own disappointment, grief, uncertainty, and hope.

If today feels difficult because you’re still waiting for the day you’ll hear someone call you “Dad,” your feelings are valid.

Fatherhood doesn’t begin the day a child is born. For many, it begins long before that- in every appointment attended, every difficult conversation, every setback endured, and every decision made with love and hope for the future.

To every man navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, or the long road to parenthood:

We see your strength. We acknowledge your journey. And we haven’t forgotten you.

This Father’s Day, we’re thinking of all the fathers-in-waiting. 💙

Choosing which embryo to transfer isn't just about improving pregnancy rates. It's about making informed decisions with your time, your emotions, and your investment.

In this video, Dr Anthony Picton explains why PGT-A (Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy) is more than just a laboratory test. By identifying embryos with the correct number of chromosomes, PGT-A may help prioritise embryos with the greatest chance of implantation, reduce the number of unsuccessful embryo transfers, and lower the risk of miscarriage caused by chromosomal abnormalities.

One of the most surprising facts? Even in women under 35, a significant proportion of embryos may be chromosomally abnormal.

While PGT-A isn't the right choice for everyone, understanding the science can help you make the decision that's right for your fertility journey.

Watch the full video as Dr Picton breaks down the evidence, shares Vitalab's own clinical data, and explains why embryo selection can make a meaningful difference for many patients.

Why did your egg retrieval result in fewer eggs than the number of follicles seen on your ultrasound?

In this video, Dr. Anthony Picton explains why follicle count and egg count don't always match - and why this is often a normal part of the IVF process.

Understanding what happens behind the scenes can help answer one of the most common questions patients have after egg retrieval.

💛 Uterine Cancer Awareness Month 💛

Early detection doesn't just save lives. It may preserve fertility.

Many women don't realise that abnormal uterine bleeding can be one of the earliest warning signs of uterine (endometrial) cancer. Recognising symptoms and seeking medical advice early can make a significant difference.

For some women diagnosed at an early stage, fertility-preserving treatment options may be available, helping to protect the possibility of having children in the future.

This Uterine Cancer Awareness Month, we encourage women to listen to their bodies, know the signs, and seek medical attention if something doesn't feel right.

If you experience abnormal bleeding, speak to your healthcare professional.

"It was worth every single step."

Almost six years ago, this family began their fertility journey. Along the way they experienced years of trying to conceive, an ectopic pregnancy, a miscarriage, IVF treatment during the uncertainty of a global pandemic, and the emotional highs and lows that so many fertility patients know all too well.

Today, they share their story to remind others that while the road can be challenging, no one has to walk it alone.

"We are blessed and ever-indebted with gratitude to Vitalab. They gave us hope, sometimes news we didn't want to hear, and sometimes life-changing hope."

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey and for sharing your story with others who may need encouragement today.

💜 To everyone still waiting, hoping, and trying: be kind to yourself. Keep holding on.
Thank you for sharing , Po***ck
