MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH MONTH | JUNE
Read in context. 👇
Men are expected to provide.(In some spaces)
To protect.
To lead.
To endure.
But who checks on the man carrying the weight?
Behind many smiles are battles with financial pressure, unemployment, broken relationships, fatherhood responsibilities, loneliness, anxiety, depression, burnout, and the constant expectation to "man up."
And too often, men suffer in silence.
Silence is not strength.
Ignoring the pain is not resilience.
Pretending to be okay is not courage.
Real strength is found in acknowledging the struggle and having the courage to seek help.
Talk to someone.
Reach out to a friend.
Speak to your spouse.
Seek professional support.
Connect with your faith community.
Because asking for help is not a sign that a man is weak.
It is proof that he refuses to give up.
This Men's Mental Health Month, perhaps the question we should be asking is not,
"Why are men not speaking?"
But rather,
"Have we created spaces where men feel safe enough to be heard?"
Strong men don't carry every burden alone.
They speak.
They heal.
They rise.
Healing begins where silence ends.
