🩺 Why Pap Smears Are So Important for Women’s Health

A Pap smear is a simple, quick test that can save lives. It checks for changes in the cells of the cervix that could lead to cervical cancer. Detecting these changes early means they can often be treated before they become dangerous.

✅ Early Detection Saves Lives – Cervical cancer is highly treatable when caught early.
✅ Often No Symptoms Early On – You can feel perfectly fine and still have abnormal cells.
✅ Quick & Low Discomfort – The test takes only a few minutes but protects you for years.
✅ Recommended – Most women aged 21–65 should have regular Pap smears as advised by their healthcare provider.

We can also assist with treatment of skin lesions, including excision of moles, punch biopsies, cryotherapy (freezing) and plasma pen treatments. If needed, we can also assist with referral to a dermatologist.
