Motor Planning happens with everything we do! From walking around objects in our path, to picking up items, to aiming and throwing, drawing, writing, getting dressed, and even throwing and catching a ball...

Motor Planning refers to the physical (motor) problem solving (plan) required to:
👜move the body over/under/around objects
🤾‍♂️manipulate/carry/hold items,
🧠organize a physical plan of action
🦵carryout a motor task

Motor planning requires integration of fine motor and gross motor skills, sensory input, reflexes (and other contributions). 📈Essentially, we must organize incoming information, outside environmental information, and integrate that information into our plan to physically accomplish a task or movement.
