Let’s talk about the victory no one throws you a party for 🌟
The one where baby is getting a good deep latch after weeks of shallow latch struggles🤱
The one where you didn’t cry during the 3 a.m. feed—you just held baba, breathed, and kept going 🥹
The one where you pumped enough milk for a day full of work 🍼
The one where you reached your own time goal whether that was 2 weeks, 6 weeks, 6 months, 1 year, or 2+ years and still going or decided to stop 🗓️
And many, many more ✨
All that matters.
That is progress.
And it deserves to be noticed 🙌🏻
It’s so easy to get caught up in what’s not working yet, especially when still learning. The shallow latch..The unpredictable supply..The feeding session that ended in tears—yours, not just baby’s..
But right there, in the middle of the hard parts, are small, quiet WINS. The ones no one sees. The ones you almost talk yourself out of celebrating.
But they are enough. More than enough.
Breastfeeding isn’t linear. Neither is motherhood. Some days you move forward. Some days you rest. Some days you cry and then try again anyway. And every single one of those days counts.
So pause for a second. Think back to yesterday.
What’s one tiny thing that went a little better than before?
🌱A deeper latch.
🌱A longer stretch of calm.
🌱A moment you trusted yourself just a little more.
That’s your win. Hold onto it.
🤍You’re not behind.
🤍You’re not doing this wrong.
🤍You’re learning your baby, and your baby is learning you.
It doesn’t happen in leaps.
It happens in small steps.
In breaths.
In the quiet moments when you choose
to keep going even though it’s hard.
Be proud of the small victories.
You are building something tender and real here, one feeding at a time.
And that is something to be deeply, quietly proud of 🤩
