Today, 05 June 2026, marks the 1st Anniversary of the Keeping Soshanguve Clean Campaign - a community movement dedicated to promoting environmental responsibility, public health, and civic pride across Soshanguve and surrounding communities.

Launched on World Environment Day on 05 June 2025, the campaign was initiated by Botshilu Private Hospital and has since grown into a powerful community-driven partnership supported by the community’s Ward 29, local businesses, community leaders, NGOs, SAPS, the Gauteng Department of Education, Gauteng Traffic Wardens, TMPD, and many dedicated stakeholders and volunteers committed to building a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful Soshanguve.

Over the past year, we have proven that meaningful change is possible when communities come together around a common purpose.

Join us in raising glasses as we celebrate this remarkable milestone and look ahead to the next chapter of making a difference in our community.

Child Protection Week, celebrated annually on 29 May - 05 June.
Let’s nourish and protect our future!

Every child deserves a safe and healthy environment. This week, we’re reminding families and caregivers about the importance of child safety and well-being.

Tips for Protecting Children:
Listen and Observe: Pay attention to children’s words and behaviours - they may be trying to tell you something important.
Set Boundaries: Teach children about safe and unsafe touch and respect their personal space.
Online Safety: Monitor internet use and discuss online risks in a supportive way.
Report Concerns: If you suspect abuse or neglect, contact local child protection services immediately.

Protecting children is everyone’s responsibility. Knowledge, vigilance, and compassion can make a world of difference.

If you have concerns about your child’s health and development, book a consultation today with any of our mental health specialists, such as a social worker, psychologist, or psychiatrist, at 012 798 7000, or email [email protected] for more info.

World Hypertension Day

High blood pressure is often called the "silent killer" because most people don’t feel any symptoms, but it can quietly harm your heart, brain, and kidneys.

Tips to keep your blood pressure checked:
- Monitor your blood pressure regularly
- Eat less salt and processed foods
- Stay active every day
- Manage stress through mindfulness or relaxation
- Avoid smoking and limit alcohol

Feeling anxious? Book a consultation for a checkup today at 012 798 7000 or email: [email protected] for more information.

Did you know?

Not all salt is created equal. Iodised salt is enriched with iodine, an essential nutrient that supports brain development, growth, and a healthy thyroid.

A lack of iodine can lead to serious health issues, including fatigue, developmental delays in children, and thyroid disorders. The good news is that a small switch can make a BIG difference.

Here are a few tips:
- Choose iodised salt for everyday cooking
- Check food labels when shopping
- Use salt sparingly—quality matters more than quantity

If you’re unsure about your iodine intake or have symptoms like unexplained tiredness or neck swelling, schedule an appointment with our specialist by calling 012 798 7000 or email: [email protected] for more information.

Global Move for Health Day

This day reminds us that even small daily activity keeps us strong and healthy. Regular movement whether walking, cycling, stretching, or exercising helps prevent chronic diseases, boosts mental health, and strengthens the body.

Lack of exercise increases the risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure. Early signs that you may not be getting enough exercise include fatigue, chest discomfort, weight gain, and joint pain.

Are you experiencing any of these symptoms? Book a consultation today at 012 798 7000 or email: [email protected] for enquires.
