Nystagmus is a condition that causes the eyes to move involuntarily. These movements may be side-to-side, up-and-down, or circular, and can affect vision, depth perception, reading, and daily activities.

While nystagmus is not usually curable, many people can achieve better vision and quality of life through appropriate treatment, support, and regular eye care.

Management options may include:

😮💧 Ever wondered why your eyes water when you yawn?

It’s actually completely normal!

When you yawn, your facial muscles tighten and your eyes may squeeze shut for a moment. This can put pressure on the tear glands and temporarily affect how tears drain through the tear ducts.

The result? Tears may build up and spill over — making your eyes water.

Yawning also helps lubricate the eyes by spreading tears across the surface, which keeps them moist and comfortable.

So next time your eyes water during a big yawn… your eyes are just doing their job 👁️💙

Hypertension doesn't just impact your heart and blood vessels—it can also damage the delicate blood vessels in your retina, the light-sensitive tissue at the back of your eye.

In many cases, there may be no symptoms in the early stages. As damage progresses, some people may experience:
